Itai Gibli is a Lawyer at Fomcenco Law.
Itai Gibli joined Fomcenco Law after articling with one of Toronto’s top insurance defence firms. His experience as a civil litigator makes him a fierce advocate for his clients. He currently practices in all areas of immigration and refugee law.
Itai earned his Juris Doctor from the Queen’s University Faculty of Law in 2023 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2024. During law school, Itai served as Senior Editor for the Canadian Journal of Commercial Arbitration.
Before law school, Itai obtained a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, where he studied international relations and anthropology. He was elected President of the McGill Anthropology Students’ Association following a year as Vice-President External.
Itai deepened his understanding of global politics at Carleton University’s Norman Paterson School of International Affairs. He won the Joubin-Selig Scholarship for outstanding incoming students and achieved a Master of Arts with a concentration in conflict analysis and resolution. While completing his Master's, Itai worked for the Government of Canada as an analyst in the Office of the Procurement Ombudsman.
Itai speaks English and Hebrew. In his spare time, he plays basketball, trains muay thai, and pickles cabbage.
